Battlehawks season opener to air on FOX 2 this Saturday

ST. LOUIS – FOX 2 will broadcast four of the 10 St. Louis Battlehawks games this season, including the team’s UFL season opener!

The United Football League was formed on Dec. 31, 2023, following a merger of the XFL and USFL spring football leagues. The new UFL is comprised of four teams from the USFL (the Birmingham Stallions, Houston Roughnecks, Memphis Showboats, and Michigan Panthers) and four from the XFL (the Battlehawks, Arlington Renegades, D.C. Defenders, and San Antonio Brahmas).

Last season, the Battlehawks shattered an XFL and professional spring football league attendance record by packing more than 38,000 fans in their home opener. The team went 7-3 and helped more than a dozen players earn NFL tryouts.

The Battlehawks open the season on Saturday, March 30, playing the Michigan Panthers at Ford Field in Detroit. The game will air at 3 p.m. local time on FOX 2.

FOX 2 will also broadcast games against the Roughnecks (Saturday, May 4), the Stallions (Saturday, May 11), and the Brahmas (Saturday, June 1).

Two weeks ago, league officials announced that the Dome at America’s Center would host the 2024 UFL Championship on Sunday, June 16, which will also air on FOX 2.
