Majid, from Heaton, fought in Liverpool and notched his 12th professional win by stopping home opponent Tom Farrell in round six of the eight scheduled – after the Merseysider had been sent to the canvas in round five and twice in the sixth.
After his win, super lightweight Majid said: “I remember walking in, it felt hostile because he had a lot of people supporting him as it was his home city.
“He came fully prepared, he was bringing his best version of himself and he did not make it easy for me, and I had to dig deep at times.
“I knew it was a matter of time before I beat him, but it was all about being patient.”
The Bolton prospect fought in Birmingham before last weekend’s victory and won inside just one round in a straightforward win against Alessandro Fersula in August.
In April, Majid was signed to Eddie Hearn’s Matchroom Boxing and he had been pumping himself up leading up to his latest fight.
This involved training in the USA, saying it helped him ‘massively’ working with Buddy McGirt, the renowned American boxer.
And he was thankful for the support from all his team and loyal supporters on the night at the M&S Bank Arena.
He added: “I want to thank my manager Sam Jones, Eddie Hearn, Matchroom Sports, my coach Buddy McGirt, George Hernandez, my dad Amar Majid, and Paul O’Neil.
“I have been learning the art from Buddy McGirt, and it went really well.
“And my dad has always been there for me, he is my backbone and without him there is no me.
“I am always thankful for the support, I had more than 500 people there and I am forever grateful for it.
“My support is one of the reasons I am here and on this boxing stage.”
