The City of Chamblee has announced the lineup for the free Summer Concert Series in Downtown Chamblee. This year’s lineup features Who’s Bad, The Platinum Band, and 10,000 Maniacs.
The series kick off takes place Friday, June 7, as attendees can celebrate the “King of Pop,” with Who’s Bad: The Ultimate Michael Jackson Experience. Who’s Bad Music Productions is dedicated to recreating authentic live experiences as a tribute to Michael Jackson’s musical legacy. It’s going to be a real “Thriller,” so be sure to “Remember the Time,” of 6:30 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. on the Chamblee City Hall Greenspace.
Join in on the July 4 Celebration with the Ansley Stewart band followed by The Platinum Band, who can play almost anything from Jazz to Hip Hop, 70’s Disco, 80’s, 90’s, Motown, R&B, and Country. These bands will bring the energy for the fireworks show that will begin at 9:00 p.m. There will be plenty of options for transportation to and from the event, with a shuttle available, parking at nearby businesses, and a rideshare option to our Rideshare Park, which is a short walk away from Chamblee City Hall.
The season finale will be held on Friday, August 9 with a kickoff performance by Atlanta-based band All the Locals and ending the evening with beloved independent bands, 10,000 Maniacs!.Together now for more than four decades, the creative core of 10,000 Maniacs remains, along with its trademarks of eclectic music and poetic lyrics.
All concerts start at 6:30 p.m. on the greenspace of Chamblee City Hall, located at 3518 Broad Street, Chamblee, GA 30341.
