Doja Cat To Rita Ora, A Look at Met Gala 2024

Met Gala 2024: Most Bizarre Fashion Moments Are Here – Check Complete List

Met Gala 2024’s Most Bizarre Fashion Moments: As the biggest event of fashion Met Gala happens in New York, it is time we get a dose of haute couture and some creme da la creme fashion, but while, many celebrities have made striking appearances that left us all jaw-dropping, many disappointments also came in. Celebrities have gone wrong and ended up being nothing more than merely a meme-material.

While some splendid choices of fashion have wowed us, some distasteful fashion choices have left us questioning if some celebrities got the memo wrong of “Garden of Time” as “Garden of Halloween” because it seems like some people have simply rolled out of bed to the Gala and called it a day.

Here’s listing some of the weirdest appearances from the fashion carpet

Chris Hemsworth

Chris Hemsworth’s look is proof that showing up to the event was the maximum effort he made for the Gala. Being literally the four most important people at the Met Gala, The Thor actor is serving as the co-chair at the Met Gala arrived in a three-piece Tom Ford suit that is as bland as it could get. The theme of the Met Gala this year is “Sleeping Beauties: Reawakening Fashion,” referring to fragile items of clothing from the museum and clearly, Chris’s outfit is in no way close to it.

Earlier in an interview with Vanity Fair, Chris while hooked up to a lie detector, joked that the Met Gala “made a mistake” by selecting him as co-chair and said he doesn’t consider himself to be a fashionable person and well we unfortunately don’t disagree.

Doja Cat

Doja Cat arrived at the Met Gala in a dripping wet dress. The Billboard Hot 100 chart-topper hit the Gala in a drenched floor-length gown accompanied by a wet makeup look, sparkly black mascara dripping down her cheeks, followed by her drenched dress as if it’s soaked by her tears. Doja turned the “Met Gala” and “Wet Gala” and people call it the most inappropriate thing seen at the Met. The look is completely off the theme, boring, and not anywhere close to making a statement even for bad press. Luckily, She is Doja and could still make headlines by just rolling out of her bed with her bedsheet, QUITE LITERALLY!

Kylie Jenner

The 2024 evening of the Met Gala marked Jenner’s seventh time attending the fashion carpet. Over the past years, Kylie delivered several memorable ensembles that turned heads on the red carpet. But this year Kylie’s look has no X factor and didn’t sit well with the memo. While some people do believe that she channeled Marilyn Monroe vibes in her curve-hugging gown, it looks more like a bridal look than a fit for Met Gala. kylie went for a structured ivory Oscar de la Renta column gown with a dramatic train, for her tresses she went with a simple slicked-back up-do. While there is nothing to hate about her look, there is also nothing to love.

4. Dua Lipa

Dua Lipa appeared at the Met wearing a skin-baring Marc Jacobs gown. The look seems extremely cohesive and looks like a lot is going on. The style seems stale and extremely underwhelming. there is nothing to particularly hate about this look but netizens are wondering what could be her inspiration. Maybe the grudge look would have been best suited for a Halloween party. Some people are calling her deconstructed crow in this look

5. Rita Ora

The “Praising You” singer Rita Ora appeared in a Tom Ford gown featuring a mesh bodysuit over which hung strands of beads ranging in a kaleidoscope of colours like pink, black, orange, and white. And all we could we could think of why?  This outfit seems so bizarre and lame that we are not sure if we should even call it a look. Rita’s look unsurprisingly received a lot of criticism from X users with some saying ” Why does it look like she just climbed out of a swamp”?

This year’s met had more disappointments than some striking looks as if everyone is racing to become the viral meme material rather than really exuding some stylish looks.
