Lakers’ Max Christie, Clippers’ Xavier Moon named to All-Summer League second team – Daily News

Lakers guard Max Christie and Clippers guard Xavier Moon were named to the All-Summer League second team, the NBA announced on Monday.

Christie averaged 19 points on 45.7% shooting from the field and 50% shooting from 3-point range to go with 6.3 rebounds, 3.7 assists and 2.3 steals in three Las Vegas Summer League games.

The second-year guard who the Lakers selected at No. 35 in the 2022 NBA draft averaged 19.8 points (49.2% shooting, 55% from behind the arc) to go with 5.8 rebounds, 3.8 assists and 1.6 blocked shots in a total of five summer league games – three games in Las Vegas and two earlier this summer in Sacramento.

Moon, an unrestricted free agent who has spent the last two seasons in the Clippers’ organization, averaged 19.6 points (55.4% shooting, 57.7% from 3-point range), 5 rebounds, 4.6 assists, 2.2 steals and one block in five games in Las Vegas.

The Lakers and Clippers both finished Las Vegas Summer League with 3-2 records after the Lakers beat the Clippers, 104-103, Sunday night to close out their schedules.

The All-Summer League First Team:

Backcourt: Keyonte George (Utah Jazz); Sam Merrill (Cleveland Cavaliers)

Frontcourt: Orlando Robinson (Miami Heat); Hunter Tyson (Denver Nuggets); Cam Whitmore (Houston Rockets)

The All-Summer League Second Team:

Backcourt: Max Christie (Lakers); Javon Freeman-Liberty (Chicago Bulls); Xavier Moon (Clippers)

Frontcourt: Emoni Bates (Cavaliers); Jabari Smith Jr., (Rockets); Jalen Wilson (Brooklyn Nets)

Whitmore was also named the Most Valuable Player.
