Lime Green Porsche 911 Dakar Has Already Attracted Bids Of $50,000 Over MSRP

  • This special 911 Dakar is painted in Linden Green and includes a Porsche-branded shovel.
  • Porsche has equipped the off-roader with 19- and 20-inch wheels shod in Pirelli Scorpion tires.
  • A modified suspension system lifts the 911 Dakar by 50 mm over a standard 911.

The Porsche 911 Dakar is one of the hottest sports cars on the market and with just 2,500 bound for the production line, could prove to be a desirable collector’s car in the decades to come. If you want one, now might be the best time to buy, although you might need to sell a kidney or your house to afford it.

Like most other limited-run 911 models, prices of the Dakar have soared since the car was first announced. Those fortunate enough to receive an allocation could place an order for $223,450. This 911 Dakar, currently up for sale through Bring a Trailer, had a sticker price of $243,460, but bidding has already exceeded that and is on track to top $300,000.

This 911 Dakar stands out from most others because of its Linden Green paint finish. It also sports a carbon fiber hood, a carbon fiber rear spoiler, and has been outfitted with a roof rack, making it even more adventurous. Heck, it even includes a Porsche-branded shovel and traction boards. Helping to protect the green paint is a ceramic coating.

Like all other Dakar models, the car rocks on 19-inch front and 20-inch rear wheels with 245/45 and 295/40 Pirelli Scorpion tires respectively. It sits 50 mm (1.9 inches) higher than a standard 911 and includes a hydraulic lift system that can raise the ride height by an additional 30 mm (1.1 inches).

While the owner of this car went all-out with the car’s exterior finish, they have opted for a more restrained interior that’s primarily finished in black leather with Race-Tex inserts. The listing notes the car has been driven 43 miles (69 km) since new and will be handed over with a duffel bag, dry bag, fuel containers, and two sets of Porsche-branded gloves.

If you’re interested in placing a bid on the 911 Dakar, you can check out the listing on Bring-a-Trailer here. The auction ends on May 11th.
