Lynk & Co has been out of the news for a while but is hard at work on its new battery-electric sedan dubbed the Zero. A handful of teasers have just been released of the car, showing it being tested on the mountain roads in China’s Anhui Province.

These images show the Zero will adopt a sleek, fastback-style design not dissimilar to the 07 EM-P PHEV that the Chinese brand is also developing. By peeking through the red and black camouflage, we can see sharp LED headlights shaped like talons as well as a think LED light bar connecting them. The bumper appears free of superfluous intakes or angles and includes a wide grille at its base.

Underpinning the new Lynk & Co Zero will be the Sustainable Experience Architecture as the Zeekr 001 and it’ll also include the same 800-volt electric architecture. With this in mind, it’ll be similar in dimensions to the Zeekr, sitting roughly 5 meters (~197 inches) long and 2 meters (~79 inches) wide with a ~3-meter (~118-inch) wheelbase. This also means it’ll be almost identical in size to the Lotus Emeya sedan, another electric sedan from Geely.

Given that the Zero will use an identical platform to the Zeekr 001, it could be offered with similar powertrains. This could mean a standard model with as much as 778 hp and a performance model with the same 1,248 hp as the 001 FR. Such figures would make this one of the quickest sedans on the planet. It would also give it a 300 hp+ edge over the Emeya.

Lynk & Co Teases Zero EV As Its Version Of The Zeekr 001

Car News China reports the car will also arrive with rear-wheel steering and have a tank turn function like the Zeekr.

The car manufacturer hasn’t released any photos of the Zero’s interior but some spy shots have been snapped in recent months. They show the latest Lynk & Co product will come with a narrow digital instrument cluster and a large infotainment display in the center of the dash, as well as a flat-bottom steering wheel.
