MATCH PREVIEW | United v Peterborough Second-Leg – News

Oxford United are just one game away from a date at Wembley, as the U’s get set to take on Peterborough United in the second-leg of the Sky Bet League One Play-Offs.

Saturday night’s first-leg was a night for all to remember in the Yellow Army, as United won 1-0 thanks to an Elliot Moore goal.

If United avoid defeat away to Peterborough on Wednesday night, Wembley will await, as does the dream for the Championship.

TEAM NEWS

There are no fresh injury concerns for Des Buckingham’s side heading into the second-leg.

The Head Coach is expected to have a similar squad to Saturday night for Wednesday night’s tie.

BUCKINGAM’S THOUGHTS

THE OPPOSITION

Only four days separate the first and second-legs, so both teams will be fresh in each other’s minds.

So far this season, the teams have played three times with the U’s winning on two occasions.

Darren Ferguson’s side remains a team full of attacking threats and could be aided by the return to fitness of Kwame Poku, who featured off the bench on Saturday.

TICKETS

Tickets for the away end in Peterborough are completely sold out, with more than 1,300 United fans making the trip.
