Music Midtown festival cancels 2024 event

The on-again, off-again Music Midtown festival is off again for 2024.

The organizers posted on social media and the Music Midtown website that the Piedmont Park festival was going on “hiatus.”

After producing legendary festivals over the past 3 decades that drew music fans from across the globe, we want to share that Music Midtown is going on hiatus this year. We encourage you to continue supporting live music in Atlanta and stay tuned here for future updates.

The festival was a staple in Midtown starting in 1994 before going on a four-year hiatus in the early 2000s. The 2020 event was canceled due to the COVID-19 pandemic and again in 2022 after gun rights proponents challenged a firearms ban in Piedmont Park.

Billie Eilish, Pink, The 1975, Guns n’ Roses, and Lil Baby were last year’s headliners at the September festival, which drew thousands of attendees to the park.
