The One Part Retake option for Password’s Skills Plus at-home test will allow candidates to retake one specific part of the assessment if they have missed their desired score in reading, writing, listening or speaking.

Like the full test, the One Part Retake has live human proctors and is video recorded throughout, the provider noted.

Password has previously been one of the testing providers to back the continued human involvement in language testing in the face of developments in Artificial Intelligence, saying that it is “one of the factors that make our test results so reliable”.
The company’s at-home test, which launched globally earlier this year, was developed carefully to meet changing consumer demands as the testing landscape has become even more competitive.
ETS has launched a TOEFL Essentials test comparison graph as its marketing campaigns have targeted competitor Duolingo.
It comes as numerous testing providers have introduced changes in their offers in a bid to help both students and institutions, such as shorter tests, new test prep options, in addition to new test products to their portfolios.
Password added that its Skills Plus test offers a fast results turnaround “which can speed up the admissions process considerably”.
The new One Part Retake option allows institutions to review both the original and the new score for the retaken section.
