- A growing number of bystanders at illegal sideshow events across the country are being hit by out-of-control cars.
Another day, another wild scene at one of the endless illegal sideshows sprawling across the U.S. The latest viral video features a Chevrolet Camaro and a Ford Mustang in a clumsy ballet of metal, inevitably crashing into each other. As if that wasn’t enough of a show, a young man also found himself an unwilling participant under the tires.
The Atlanta Muscle Instagram page, notorious for its collection of sideshow clips, added yet another gem. Initially, we see the driver of a black Camaro performing a burnout in the middle of a large intersection. Then, out of nowhere, an old Fox-body Mustang makes a dramatic entrance by crashing into the Camaro’s front. Just another day in sideshow paradise.

It’s unclear whether the driver of the Mustang was also participating in the sideshow event or merely attempting to drive through the intersection. Regardless, a man wearing glasses suddenly appears in the frame, retrieves the hat of the Camaro passenger, and hands it back to him. The man then appears to run in front of the Mustang, gesticulating and visibly upset.
Moments later, the camera pans left just as the driver of the Mustang slams on the brakes—spectators have spotted a phone lying directly in the path of the Ford. The man in glasses makes a dive to retrieve the phone, but at that instant, the Mustang’s driver hits the throttle.
Tragically, the Ford strikes the man, and according to some comments, runs over and breaks his leg. The footage shows the man getting up and limping away from the scene before the video concludes.”
Sideshow events like these are a growing problem throughout the United States, and such incidents aren’t uncommon. A browse through the Atlanta Muscle page shows several other shocking instances of spectators at these events being hit by cars doing burnouts and donuts.
