The Tragically Hip launching book to celebrate their 40th anniversary, out this fall

Legendary Canadian band The Tragically Hip are celebrating their 40th anniversary with an official anthology called This is Our Life

Told in the band’s own words, This is Our Life shares the band’s story from their early beginnings in Kingston, Ont. as high schoolers to their success as a Juno-winning rock band. The book draws from hours of interviews with band members Rob Baker, Gord Downie, Johnny Fay, Paul Langlois, Gord Sinclair, musicians, producers and crew that made their dreams reality.

This is Our Life is the true story of five young friends who bonded over their mutual love of all kinds of music, and who, over the course of four decades, found ways to continually renew those bonds of friendship and love through music,” said lead guitarist Rob Baker in a press statement.

“We shared a dream and that dream became our lives. We explored music, travel and life together. From the very beginnings through to the present day — the albums, the tours, the successes and failures as we saw them — in our own words.”
