Warren Buffett Berkshire Hathaway: Raamdeo Agrawal on Warren Buffett, Berkshire Hathaway AGM & more

“One thing which really touched me this time was his quote that “Berkshire Hathaway is a painting, a canvas which is always expanding, is unlimited and I get to paint what I want to paint,” says Raamdeo Agrawal, Chairman, Motilal Oswal Financial Services

On Buffett & Berkshire Hathaway AGM
I attended the AGM and leaving aside the last two years, I have been going to the AGM for last 20-25 years. It was a wonderful experience because in the hall out there you have to see the mela (fair) once but after that, listening to him sitting at home is fun. One can take notes. He has aged somewhat and lost that clarity of speech to some extent. He takes pain to speak at times but his insights, sharpness, his memory is intact and he loves talking. At times he said I have forgotten what questions you asked and what I am talking about.

It is a passion, like he always says do what you like and you never feel like you are working.
They still do not think that Berkshire needs any new chairman or anything like that. One thing which really touched me this time was his quote that “Berkshire Hathaway is a painting, a canvas which is always expanding, is unlimited and I get to paint what I want to paint.”

The thoughts have come from him only but I always used to think that every company is a piece of art. An entrepreneur is painting his own vision, his own capability but that is what was again confirmed by Buffett and that is the fun of seeing every company here, any company in Nifty or any company small or big but they are all pieces of art, created by the underlying entrepreneur.
